Comic Hideout - a Free Online Comic

Latest Comic

Welcome to Comic Hideout.com! This is a FREE online comic for your enjoyment.

This comic is mostly about two housemates. One is a lad known as PJ who thinks he is a superhero called Bolide Boy. He feels he has the power of good fortune, as he seems to get out of sticky situations through shear luck and chance. He is an outgoing but sometimes immature and annoying lad with a good heart. His housemate isn’t human and is a genetically altered being known as a Lith. Heléna Bury is a short tempered, highly volatile being of unknown power who goes from one extreme to another. She doesn’t realize her own strength and just wants to be accepted.

We are now on Facebook, Twitter and Myspace as well as having our own forum. Please do leave feedback on one, or all, or these mediums. I love it when fans interact with me, gives me a moral boost and helps me when I wonder why I spend all my long hours updating my website and working on the graphics and story.

I am your host, Gemma Roissetter. This comic has been online since 01/09/08 and is run purely off my own back. I pay for the hosting but I do the concept, writing, artwork, text on top of running and maintaining this website, my blog and my other hobbies which include playing video games, photography, hiking, camping, creative writing, music, Hurricane Jo, socialising, cinema and my friends, family and loved ones. Oh, and I have a full time job so I can pay my bills and run my household. I am also always teaching myself new techniques and improving my website design and art. I love to learn new things and I am completely self-taught for all the things I use for the comic.

As you can see, I do not have much time spare after all that. I would love to update the comic more often, but I just can’t. In fact, I often struggle to update as often as I do. Keeping up my motivation is key to keeping this comic running. It doesn’t cost anything to tell some friends about the comic or drop me a line through any of my interactive websites above. This helps keep me going, knowing people care helps a lot although I don’t do it just for the fans, I do it for me as the comic is a huge part of my past and hopefully my future. Doing this comic is keeping my word to a very much younger version of myself. I promised myself when I was about eleven I would bring my characters to life through media. And here is the result which I hope you enjoy.
